Community Garden

In the fall of 2009, a group of Radnor Winston neighbors teamed up to build our community garden. Located behind the Popeyes restaurant on land donated by Loyola University of Maryland you can now find 27 raised beds growing a wide variety of vegetables from early spring to late fall.

Unlike many community gardens, members share the planning, planting, weeding and harvesting of this organic bounty rather than each having their own plot. The garden also has 5 beds dedicated to growing fabulous produce for the local food bank.

A great source of fresh food, participants also cultivate community, share recipes and garden expertise.  Annual dues pay for seeds and expenses.

To join in the garden team contact Katarina Carlin or Leila Grothe to see if there is space.
